Stepping Out in Service’ at the MethodistWalk 2015

A different tone than usual was struck at the MethodistWalk 2015 on 28 March 2015, organised every two years by the Methodist Schools’ Foundation (MSF) to raise funds for Methodist schools and their students. This year, the walk came just five days after the passing of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, and hence “our usually upbeat MethodistWalk has been converted to a Memorial Walk dedicated to the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew,” said Mrs Joni Ong, Chairperson of MSF, in her tribute given before the walk began.

Family matters

Discover God’s design and purpose for family God’s design for family – every family – is really about something bigger. Ask anyone if family really matters and most, if not all, would say it does. The terrorists shouted “Allahu Akbar” (“God is the greatest”) in an attack that was a violent retaliation to the […]

Seeing the world through God’s perspective

Perspectives is an invitation once again to joyfully run the race He has set before us, setting no limits on how or where He will use us. “God is a God of global purpose. He has already put in our hearts the longing to be a friend to a great God, to somehow become a […]

Bishop’s Invitation

The theme for Aldersgate SG 2015 is “Seeking the Welfare of Our City”, based on Jeremiah 29:7. Should we be concerned about our city? The answer appears obvious to most: “Yes, of course.” “This is my home.” “I have my family and friends here.” “Here is where my future lies.” I write this on the […]
